Air conditioning

The house has one air-conditioning unit, located in the small bedroom upstairs. This room becomes the warmest room during hot summer weather. With the doors arranged correctly, the unit can also cool the entire upper floor.

Important: The air conditioning only works when the window in the small bedroom is fully closed.

Quick start

  1. Close the window.

  2. Point the remote at the air-conditioning unit.

  3. Press the red Power button.

  4. Press MODE until the required symbol appears:

  5. ❄️ Cooling

  6. ☀️ Heating

  7. Set the temperature using TEMP ▲/▼.

  8. Use FAN to adjust the fan speed.

Please switch the unit off when you leave the house or when nobody is using the upstairs rooms.

Cooling in summer

For comfortable and energy-efficient cooling:

  1. Select ❄️ Cooling mode.

  2. Set the temperature to 23–25°C.

  3. Select automatic or medium fan speed.

  4. Use TURBO briefly if the upper floor is very warm.

  5. Once the area is comfortable, press ECO to maintain a pleasant temperature with lower energy consumption.

Setting the temperature very low does not cool the room faster. It only makes the unit operate for longer and consume more electricity.

Cooling the entire upper floor

The air conditioner can cool all the upstairs bedrooms effectively:

  • Leave the door of the small bedroom open.

  • Leave the door of the large bedroom opposite open.

  • For the best result, leave all upstairs bedroom doors open.

  • Pull the curtain at the top of the stairs fully closed. This keeps the cool air upstairs.

  • Keep all upstairs windows closed.

  • Keep blinds or curtains closed where there is strong direct sunlight.

With this arrangement, ECO mode is normally sufficient to maintain a comfortable environment throughout the upper floor.

Using ECO mode

ECO mode is the recommended setting for normal use.

It does not switch the air conditioner off. Instead, the unit automatically moderates its cooling output and avoids operating continuously at maximum power. The airflow may feel gentler and the temperature may be maintained less aggressively, but the rooms should remain comfortably cool.

For the best result:

  1. If the upper floor is very hot, begin with normal cooling or TURBO.

  2. Once the area feels comfortable, press ECO.

  3. Keep the doors arranged as described above.

  4. Keep the curtain at the top of the stairs closed.

  5. Keep the windows closed.

ECO mode may take longer to cool a very hot room. It is intended primarily to maintain comfort efficiently after the initial cooling.

Please use energy consciously

Air conditioning consumes a significant amount of electricity. Please help us avoid unnecessary energy use:

  • Do not leave the air conditioning running in an empty room or when nobody is using the upper floor.

  • Switch it off when leaving the house.

  • Do not operate it with doors or windows leading outside left open.

  • Use 23–25°C rather than setting an unnecessarily low temperature.

  • Use TURBO only briefly.

  • Change to ECO once the rooms are comfortable.

  • Use blinds and curtains to keep out direct sunlight.

  • At night, use ECO, SLEEP, or a lower fan speed if these provide sufficient comfort.

The unit does not need to run continuously throughout the day. With the windows closed, the doors open the cool air is retained effectively. Rather have the windows open in the night to let the cool night air come in and cool the house.

Heating in winter

The small bedroom has two separate heating systems.

1. Air conditioning

The air conditioning provides efficient warm-air heating and is controlled only with the remote.

  1. Close the window.

  2. Press Power.

  3. Press MODE until the ☀️ Heating symbol appears.

  4. Set the desired temperature using TEMP ▲/▼.

  5. Select automatic or medium fan speed.

It can take 2–5 minutes before warm air starts to flow. In cold weather, the unit may pause temporarily while the outdoor unit defrosts. This is normal, and heating will resume automatically.

2. Electric radiator

The electric radiator is a separate heating system. It is controlled by the temperature control next to the bedroom door and the house automation system.

  • The wall temperature switch controls only the electric radiator.

  • The remote controls only the air conditioner.

  • Changing the wall temperature does not change the air-conditioning settings.

  • Please normally use only one of the two heating systems at a time.

  • For further details, see the separate Electric heating instructions.

Useful remote-control functions

  • Power: Switches the unit on or off.

  • MODE: Selects cooling, heating, automatic, dehumidifying or fan mode.

  • TEMP ▲/▼: Changes the selected temperature.

  • FAN: Changes the fan speed.

  • TURBO: Provides maximum output for rapid cooling or heating.

  • ECO: Maintains comfort while reducing energy consumption.

  • SWING: Changes the direction of the airflow.

  • MUTE: Reduces operating noise.

  • SLEEP: Provides gentler and quieter operation during the night.

  • DISPLAY: Switches the display light on the indoor unit on or off.

If the air conditioning does not work

  1. Check that the window in the small bedroom is completely closed.

  2. Point the remote directly at the unit and press Power.

  3. Check that the correct mode is selected: ❄️ for cooling or ☀️ for heating.

  4. If the window was open, close it. Power will be restored, but the air conditioner may not restart automatically. Switch it on again with the remote.

  5. After restarting or changing modes, the compressor may wait for up to three minutes before operating.

  6. In heating mode, allow up to five minutes before expecting warm air.

  7. If ECO mode is cooling too slowly because the room is very hot, use normal cooling or TURBO briefly and return to ECO afterwards.

If the unit still does not work, please contact us. Do not open or attempt to repair the air-conditioning unit yourself.
